Ixora coccinea L. Jungle Geranium, Flame of the Woods, Jungle Flame, Burning Love, Red Ixora. One of a large genus of tropical evergreen shrubs grown for their striking brightly coloured flowers, native of tropical SE Asia. The names in this genus are extremely confused; shown here are two forms, one, probably I.coccinea, a species from India with rounded corolla lobes, and the other, possibly I.chinensis from China and Taiwan, with acute corolla lobes. Good for a warm greenhouse in humid conditions or outside in the tropics. Min. 15°C.
