Hamamelis x intermedia ‘Jelena’ Grows to 20ft (6m) tall and is at least as wide. Flowers, about 1in (2.5cm) wide, appear in winter on leafless branches and have less scent than some other varieties. Leaves usually turn shades of red, orange and yellow in autumn. Should be planted in autumn or early spring in full sun or light shade. Hardy to -20°F (-29°C), US zones 5–9.
