Juniperus monosperma Sarg. One-seed Juniper or Cherrystone Juniper Native to south-west United States and occasionally grown for ornament. Height to 9-15m (30-50ft). Flowers open in March. Fruit ripens to grey blue, about 0.6cm (¼in) containing only one seed. Foliage shows both adult and juvenile types, the prickly juvenile eventually being lost by old trees. Z4.
