Lantana montevidensis Briq. A spreading and scrambling sub-shrub, with pale magenta flowers, not changing colour, native of Uruguay and naturalised in California, growing in dry sunny places, flowering in summer. Stems to 1m or more; leaves ovate, 2–5cm long. Flowerheads 2.5–3cm across. A good and easily grown plant for sprawling over a bank or sunny slope. Min. -8°C. There is also a white form.
