Laburnum anagyroides Med. Laburnum or Golden Chain Native to central and southern Europe, widely cultivated for ornament throughout Europe, and naturalised in some places. Height to 6-9m (20-30ft). Flowers open in May, each about 2.5cm (1in). Seed pods are 5-7.5cm (2-3in) and similar to those of Scotch Laburnum (L. alpinum) but with a thickened edge. Leaves are rather downy on undersides. Z5.
