Oncoba kraussiana (Hochst.) Planch. syn. Xylotheca krassiana Hochst. (Flacourtiaceae) A small much-branched tree or large shrub, native of South Africa on the Zululand coast, flowering in January (summer). Tree to 4.5m. Leaves evergreen, downy, elliptic oblong, about 6cm long, 2.5cm wide. Flowers about 5cm across. Fruit orange, 5cm across. For any soil, with water in summer. Min. 0°C. |
