Pandorea jasminoides (Lindl.) K. Schum. (Bignoniaceae) Bower Plant A climber with twining stems, shiny pinnate leaves and terminal inflorescence of white or pale pink flowers, often with a dark throat, native of the coasts of Queensland and New South Wales, growing in open forest, flowering much of the year. Stems to 5m. Leaves dark green, with 5–9 lanceolate leaflets, to 5cm long. Flowers 6–7cm across. Best in rich soil with shade in the hottest part of the day. Good in a large conservatory if allowed to grow up and cascade down. Min. -3°C. Named cultivars include ‘Alba’ white; ‘Red Eyes’, white with a crimson throat; ‘Rosea Superba’, large flowered, pink with a dark throat.
