Thevetia peruviana (Pers.) Schum., syn. A. neriifolia A Juss. (Apocynaceae) Yellow Oleander, Exile Oil Plant, Lucky Bean or Lucky Nut A shrub with evergreen narrow shiny leaves and nodding yellow or pale orange flowers, native of the West Indies, Mexico and tropical America, flowering most of the year. Shrub to 8m; leaves alternate, linear-lanceolate, to 15cm; flowers scented, to 7cm long, 5cm across, white in ‘Alba’. Fruits like small apples, green then red, opening black. For a hot sunny position. Min. -2°C.
