Tabebuia (Bignoniaceae)
This genus contains 100 evergreen and deciduous species from tropical America. They are often small trees of semi-desert areas. Many are used in town planting and flower in spring before the leaves develop. Other species have very long-lasting timber, and are useful for furniture-making.
