x Sycoparrotia semidecidua Endress & Anliker (1968) is an interesting hybrid between Parrotia persica and Sycopsis sinensis. Its semi-evergreen habit is unusual, and it forms a large, strong-growing shrub, with Parrotia-like leaves and flowers. Some twigs often remain evergreen, while others lose their leaves. It is said to have been raised in Switzerland in around 1950, but was not named until 1968. Z7.
