Verticordia grandis J. L. Drumm. ex Meissn. Scarlet Feather Flower (Myrtaceae) A low shrub with rounded leaves and red flowers with feathery petals and a long red style, native of Western Australia, growing in sandy heaths, flowering in September–November. Shrubs to 1m tall; leaves 1.5cm across. Flowers 2.5cm across. For dry well-drained sandy soil and full sun. Min. -3°C.
