Acacia glaucoptera Benth. Clay Wattle or Flat Wattle A spreading shrub with long flat greyish stems formed by the wing-like phyllodes, and 1 globular flower head in the leaf notch, native of Western Australia, flowering in August-November. Shrub to 1.5m, and more across; stems 2.5cm wide, the young growth sometimes purplish. Pods 4-5cm, circular, slightly constricted between the seeds. For well-drained soil, but stands drought. Somewhat lime-tolerant. Min. 0°C. Z10
