There is a magnificent stand of this species about 15 km west of Mt Dare on the road to Mt Dare in South Australia. There are a few really mature trees and then a forest of young ones. The site is not too difficult to get to as a road passes right through the middle of the site. We were on a bicycle trip to Alice Springs from Broken Hill and this 'find' was a botanical highlight.
