Anisodontea scabrosa (L.) Bates A spreading (or erect) shrub with rounded leaves and pale pink flowers, native of South Africa from the W Cape east to Natal, growing in scrub along the coast, flowering most of the year. Stems 1-2m; leaves often sticky and scented. Leaves variable, 3- or 5-lobed, 2-7cm long. Flowers 3-4cm across, pinkish, often deeper at the base. For a sunny bank: in well-drained soil and tolerant of summer drought. |
