Alyogyne cuneiformis (DC.) Lewton (Malvaceae) A lax shrub with narrow leaves and creamy-white tubular flowers, native of W Australia, growing in sandy places near the coast, flowering in November-March (summer). Stems to 3m. Leaves 5-8cm long, 8-15mm wide, thick and fleshy, entire, cuneate to spathulate. Flowers not opening wide, 5-6cm long, whitish with a dark centre. Needs a warm position and well-drained sandy soil. Min. 0°C.
