Agapetes incurvata var. hookeri (C. B. Cl.) Airy-Shaw, syn. A. hookeri (C. B. Cl.) Sleumer An erect shrub with bullate leaves and tubular yellow flowers, native of E Nepal to Assam, growing as an epiphyte at 2100–1900m, flowering in June–July. Shrub to 1m high; young stems with short erect hairs; leaves 7–10cm long, 2.2–3.5cm wide, elliptic, shallowly toothed and glandular from base to apex. Calyx-lobes ovate, winged with a dark nectariferous gland at the apex. Flowers to 1.9cm long. A rare species in cultivation. Min. -5°C, perhaps. |
