Adenocarpus foliolosus (Ait.) DC (Leguminosae) An upright shrub with small, crowded leaves and yellow flowers, native of Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Gomera, growing in heaths, woodland and pine forests at up to 1500m, flowering in March. Stems to 2m. Leaves with 3 lanceolate or obovate leaflets. Flowers in upright, terminal racemes. Pods with black glandular swellings. For well-drained soil. Min. -5°C. A decorticans Boiss., from S. Spain is rather similar, with silvery leaves and peeling bark.
