Abelia schumannii (Graeb.) Rehder Native of W. Sichuan, in dry valleys and by rivers, at 1200-3600 m, flowering in May-August. Deciduous shrub to 1.5 m. Young twigs purple and pubescent. Flowers with 2 sepals, 6-10 mm long; and corolla 2.5-3 cm. Hardy to -15°C.
