Corylus maxima ‘Purpurea’ Purple-Leaved Filbert The purple-leaved hazel is a variety of the Filbert C. maxima Miller, a native of S .E. Europe to the Caucasus, which differs in its larger nuts completely concealed by the elongated husk.
