Daphne sureil W. W. Smith & Cave An upright evergreen shrub with small scented white flowers, native of the Himalayas from E Nepal to N Assam, growing in scrub and rainforest with oaks and magnolias, at 1500–2200m, flowering October–January. Shrub to 2.5m. Leaves pale shiny green, ovate-elliptic to oblanceolate, 6–17cm long. Flowers 5–15 in a head, white, scented. Fruits reddish-orange. For a moist sheltered position. Min. -3°C.
