Eucalyptus coccifera Hook. fil. (Myrtaceae) Tasmanian Snow Gum or Funnel Fruited Gum A large shrub or tall tree with smooth grey bark, bluish elliptic leaves and small cream flowers, native of C and SE Tasmania, growing at 600–1360m, flowering in October–March. Tree to 40m in the lowlands, shrubby at high altitudes; leaves to 10cm long and 2cm wide. Flowers 1.5cm across; fruit 1.4cm in diameter. One of the hardier species for a moist climate and good as a specimen indoors. Min. -12°C. Z8. From Tasmania.
